Data Privacy Statement

Welcome to our shop and thank you for your interest in our company, our products and our website. The protection of your privacy when visiting our website is very important to us. Please note the following:

1. Collection, processing and use of personal data

In most cases, you can visit our website without having to supply us with any of your personal information. Personal data are only collected when you provide us with such data in connection with the performance of a contract, the opening of a customer account or for the purpose of contacting you. These data will only be used, without your express consent, for contract performance and the processing of your enquiries. Once the contract has been performed in full and the purchase price has been paid in full, your data will be stored for the duration of the retention periods under tax law and German GAAP; upon expiry of these periods, they will then be deleted.

In addition, we will collect personal data if you register for our e-mail newsletter. These data will be used for our own marketing purposes in the form of our e-mail newsletter, provided that you have expressly agreed as follows:

"I wish to subscribe to the newsletter (I can unsubscribe at any time)."

You can unsubscribe the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter or by notifying us accordingly. Once you have unsubscribed, your e-mail address will be deleted without undue delay.

2. Disclosure of personal data

Order processing

Order processing is carried out via the Afterbuy service provider (VIA Online GmbH in Krefeld, Germany). Your personal data will only be forwarded to Afterbuy for the purpose of processing your online order. Information on data protection at Afterbuy and the data privacy statement of VIA Online GmbH can be viewed via the following link: http://www.afterbuy.de/Datenschutz.htm.

The personal data we collect will be forwarded, for the purposes of contract performance, to the transport company contracted for delivery, provided that this is necessary for the delivery of the goods. In connection with the processing of payments, we will pass your payment details on to the instructed bank.

3. Cookies

Our online shop also uses so-called cookies, which serve to make our website more user-friendly, more effective and more secure, for example by accelerating navigation across our platform. In addition, cookies enable us to measure the number of page impressions and navigation in general. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer. Please note that some of these cookies – predominantly what we call session cookies – are transferred from our server onto your computer. At the end of the browser session, session cookies are automatically deleted from your hard drive. Other cookies remain on your computer and enable us to recognise your system at your next visit (permanent cookies). You can, of course, reject cookies at any time, provided your browser permits this. Please note that browser settings that reject cookies (from our website) may cause restrictions in the way that certain functions of this website can be used, or prevent any use altogether.

4. Use of Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, i.e. text files that are saved on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by these cookies about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the US where it is stored. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile website activity reports for the website operators and to provide additional services associated with the use of the website and the internet. Moreover, Google may disclose this information to third parties if this is required by law and to the extent that third parties process these data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances will Google link your IP address to any other Google data. You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser to reject cookies. However, in that case you may find that you are not able to use all the functionalities on this website to the fullest extent. By using this website, you agree to the processing of the data collected about you by Google in the manner described and for the purpose stated. You may opt out from this data collection and data storage at any time, without any retrospective effect however. For this purpose, you can use the Opt-out Add-on provided by Google Analytics (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en) if it is available for your browser.

Please note that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()" and will therefore only process IP addresses in an abbreviated form so as to prevent any direct assignability to a person.

5. Use of Facebook plug-ins

We have integrated so-called plug-ins of the social network facebook.com ("Facebook") on our website. Facebook is a company of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA.

Whenever you view one of our web pages that has such a plug-in, the plug-in will prompt your browser to load and display the image of the plug-in from the Facebook server. This will tell the Facebook server which page of our website you are currently visiting. If you are a Facebook member and log-in with Facebook during your visit to our website, Facebook will recognise, from the information sent via the plug-in, which of our web pages you are currently viewing and will allocate this to your personal Facebook user account. When you activate one of these plug-ins, by clicking on the "Like" button or by sending a comment for example, this will be sent to, and saved on, your personal user account on Facebook. In addition, the information that you have visited our website will be sent to Facebook, irrespective of whether or not you have activated one of the plug-ins.

In order to prevent the transfer to and the storage of data about yourself and your web surfing behaviour by Facebook, you must log out from Facebook before you visit our website. Please visit the following web address for the data protection and privacy notices on Facebook, including further information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, your rights in this regard and the required settings to protect your privacy. http://www.facebook.com/policy.php

6. Information on Customer's rights; contacts

You can request a statement of your personal data stored, free of charge. You can also demand that your data be corrected, blocked or deleted. Please contact us if you have further questions on the collection, processing or use of your personal data. The same applies to enquiries and any requests for blocking, deletion or correction of your personal data as well as the revocation of consents granted. Please refer to our website imprint for our contact address.
