Scholl

Scholl

“Looking good and doing you good” – this slogan marked the very beginning of the popular Scholl footwear which today, more than 100 years after the company foundation, continues to stand for excellent comfort and healthy feet. The shoemaker and orthopaedist Dr. William Mathias Scholl founded the company in 1907 in Chicago. In the 1940s, he began to develop innovative insoles which were soon to become one of the company’s bestsellers.

Scholl

However, the real breakthrough came only in 1959 with the ergonomically shaped beechwood sandals Pescura, which subsequently became a hallmark of the rebellious Woodstock and Flower Power mouvement. The hippie generation has grown old by now, but the Scholl sandals haven’t. The iconic slides from Scholl and other orthopaedic footwear brands such as Birkenstock have undergone a striking image transformation in recent years. Today, they are not only worn by tree-huggers, but also by famous trendsetters all around the globe. No wonder, since these functional, lightweight and super comfortable sandals, mules and clogs pamper your feet with high-quality natural materials and ergonomic designs while looking great: stylish prints, shiny patent leather or metallic effects, there’s sure to be something for everyone. Besides the fashion aspect, Scholl is all about the well-being of your feet. This is mainly ensured by the innovative Scholl Bioprint technology which is characterised by its anatomically shaped natural cork and rubber sole. It helps maintain correct biomechanical function of the foot, thus improving posture. This sole is also very flexible with no signs of deformation over time and now comes with new fashionable heels and wedges. Take a look at our wide range of Scholl sandals and convince yourself that healthy feet can be so trendy.
